Cumming has a full slate of easy-to-plan local activities this weekend, with live music, a farmers market, a free fitness class and a family afternoon all centered around Cumming City Center.

Friday morning: Move & Groove on the Lawn

The weekend can start early with Friday Mood: Jazzercise Move & Groove on the Lawn from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on October 2.

The class is free, welcomes all fitness levels and asks participants to bring water, an exercise mat and handheld weights if they want to use them.

Because the session is outdoors, weather can affect the schedule, so checking for a last-minute update before leaving home is a smart move.

Friday night: Aerosmith favorites under the lights

Friday evening shifts from exercise to classic rock when Pandora’s Box brings its Aerosmith tribute show to the Lou Sobh Amphitheater from 7 to 9 p.m.

The concert is part of the fall concert series, with free admission and free parking, making it one of the simplest Friday-night options for families, couples and groups of friends looking for live music without a ticket purchase.

Guests can bring lawn chairs or blankets, and friendly dogs are welcome on leash.

Coolers, outside food, outside alcoholic beverages, cans, glass bottles, tents and smoking are not permitted at the concert.

Saturday morning: Shop local at the farmers market

Saturday begins with the Cumming Farmers Market from 8 to 11 a.m. in the Vision Parkway parking lot at City Center.

Shoppers can browse farm-fresh produce, locally raised meats, eggs, honey, homemade breads and desserts, jams, jellies, plants, arts and crafts and other locally offered goods.

Parking is available in the market lot and along Vision Parkway, but visitors should note that continuing construction affects access to parts of the City Center during market hours.

That makes the morning market a good stop to plan deliberately rather than simply wandering into the main entertainment area.

Saturday night: Dave Matthews tribute concert

The music returns Saturday evening when The Dave Matthews Tribute Band performs from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lou Sobh Amphitheater.

The group has spent more than two decades recreating the musical spirit of Dave Matthews Band, drawing on the familiar mix of guitar, violin, saxophone and percussion that longtime fans recognize.

Like Friday’s show, Saturday’s concert offers free admission and free parking, and the same lawn-chair, blanket, pet and outside-food rules apply.

For anyone searching for things to do in Cumming GA this weekend, the back-to-back Friday and Saturday concerts create an unusually convenient two-night option in one location.

Sunday: A family afternoon of bouncing and sliding

Sunday turns the focus toward younger families with Slide into Sundays with Jump N Jacks from noon to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

The event includes bounce houses, water slides, games and activities, with $10 unlimited bouncing for participants.

A waiver and wristband are required, and outside food and beverages are not allowed.

Parents may want to pack appropriate clothes for water play and check the weather before heading out, since the outdoor setup depends on conditions.

With fitness, shopping, two nights of live music and a kid-focused Sunday afternoon, Cumming weekend events offer something different each day without requiring a long drive between venues.

Most of this weekend’s activity is concentrated at Cumming City Center, 423 Canton Road, where free parking is available in the parking deck and surface lots.

If you are planning around the Cumming Country Fair & Festival, remember that it does not begin this weekend; the 2026 fair opens October 8 and runs through October 18.
