Families looking for an energetic Sunday outing can finish the weekend at Cumming City Center with another round of Slide Into Sundays.
The October 4 event is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. and brings bounce houses, water slides, games and activities to the City Center in partnership with Jump N Jacks Moonwalks.
The event is weather permitting, an important detail for parents to keep in mind before loading everyone into the car.
Admission is $10 for unlimited bouncing, and participating children need a waiver and wristband.
For families with kids who still have weekend energy to burn, Slide Into Sundays offers a straightforward answer: several hours of active outdoor play in one central location.
The combination of inflatable attractions and water play also means parents should plan for the practical side of the afternoon.
Comfortable clothes, appropriate footwear and a change of clothes can make the trip easier, particularly for children headed toward the water slides.
Jump N Jacks Moonwalks partners with the City Center on the recurring event, which has become a recognizable part of the venue’s family programming.
There are rules families should know before arriving.
A waiver and wristband are required to participate, and outside food or beverages are not permitted.
Outside vendors and soliciting are also prohibited.
The weather-permitting format is the biggest variable, so checking the latest event status before departure is sensible if conditions look uncertain.
The Sunday event rounds out an unusually active weekend at City Center.
Friday brings an Aerosmith tribute to Lou Sobh Amphitheater, Saturday starts with the Cumming Farmers Market and ends with the Dave Matthews Tribute Band, and Sunday shifts the focus squarely to children and families.
That mix gives residents several reasons to visit the same destination across three days without repeating the same experience.
For parents, Slide Into Sundays is less about sitting through a formal program and more about letting children move, play and make the most of an afternoon outside.
It can also pair easily with a meal or walk around City Center before or after the inflatable attractions.
Slide Into Sundays is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, from noon to 5 p.m. at Cumming City Center, weather permitting, with unlimited bouncing priced at $10. |
